Patient Confidentiality
Patients are identified on the system through a unique computer-generated PIN which allows various medical service providers to access and share patient clinical records. The system ensures that no one can view, modify or update patient records without the necessary authorisation.
Access to data is controlled via permissions within the programs which must be explicitly given to particular users. Only the information to which a user is authorised can ever be accessed using their user log-on name and password. As well as the levels of security contained within the programs, the CloudMED system has utilised the full extent of the security built into the Microsoft operating system, both at user and data levels.
